This week, we had the pleasure of hosting three of the 500 Festival Princesses! Adrianne, Hannah, & Chelsea, all princesses in the 500 Festival Princess program, had the opportunity to ring the historic Market bell to start Wednesday's Original Farmers' Market.
In the next 16 months, downtown Indianapolis will experience a HUGE wave of development in the Market East District. As you may have noticed, with new development often comes growing pains in the form of closed streets and limited parking. We are looking forward to the 850 new residential flats, 130,000 sq. ft. in hotel space, and 21,000 sq. ft. of new office space but want to make sure City Market and the Original Farmers' Market shoppers have a reliable place to park.

New vendors round out great product mix for 2015 season
Indianapolis –Just as the early-season vegetable sprouts peek through tilled fields throughout central Indiana, City Market officials are preparing for the launch of the 18th annual Original Farmers’ Market season set to begin May 6 at 9:30 a.m. The downtown market runs every Wednesday May through October from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Market Street between Alabama and Delaware Streets rain or shine.
