General Market hours are 7 am - 6 pm Monday through Friday, and 8 am – 4 pm on Saturdays. City Market is closed on Sunday. The hours of individual businesses vary.
Street-level, metered parking is available throughout the Market East District. City Market Administration is also able to offer a special parking deal to those shopping the Original Farmers' Market and the City Market. Read more about that deal here.
Mornings before 12 pm are generally less crowded. During peak summer months, weekday mornings are optimal times to visit and include our Wednesday Original Farmers' Market, one of Central Indiana's largest outdoor farmers' markets.
The Original Farmers' Market occurs Wednesdays, May through October from 9:30am until 1:30pm.

Public Catacombs tours are the first and third Saturday, May through October every half hour beginning at 11am with the last tour launching at 1pm. Private tours can be booked for parties of 10 or more by calling Indiana Landmarks.
Tour guides are located on Whistler Plaza (west plaza closest to Delaware). Guests may register here, as well.
Free Wi-Fi is available in the main Market House provided by eWireless.
City Market is accessible to strollers and wheelchairs from our east plaza. The Market does not have stroller or wheelchair rentals. Elevator access in the Market is available in the west wing breezeway.

Pets are not allowed in Market buildings. Only trained service animals are permitted within Market buildings. The outdoor Original Farmers' Market is pet-friendly.
Visitors are welcome to take photos and video for personal use on a visit to the Market. Commercial photography or video requires prior written consent from Indianapolis City Market management.
There is bus parking on nearby city streets on a first-come, first-served basis. Buses often drop off at either the Alabama Street entrance or the Delaware Street entrance.
